Program Description:

The panel will share recruitment tips to ensure that your organization has a diverse slate of candidates in a very competitive Labor Market. Since the beginning of 2022 we have continued to see record low unemployment and a labor market that is very competitive for top, diverse talent. As we call compete for the top talent how do we position ourselves as the employer of choice, how do we expand our networks, and what trends are these expertise seeing in this highly competitive labor market. As you look to recruit top talent to your organization, this panel will share their expertise and provide incredible insight in how you best position your organizations.

About the panelists:

Kim Clark has over 17 years of experience in the Human Resources field. She is currently the Head of People and Culture at Right at School and oversees the team that supports the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisitions, total rewards, talent management, performance management, HR systems and compliance and diversity and Inclusion.

Prior to Right at School, she has held various HR leadership positions in the retail industry with Brookfield Properties and the technology industry with Gogo Inflight Internet Company.

Kimberly received her BA from Governors State University and received her Master’s in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

As a strategic servant leader, she is driven by the organizational vision and pours into that vision by engaging and developing talent, promoting a culture of inclusivity and authenticity, and driving strategic initiatives that foster innovation, growth, and efficiencies.

Kimberly’s passion is her family and giving back to her community through service and support.


Megan McCann is an established IT recruitment and technology services leader known for building and leading highly successful IT services firms, and for the work she does to advance diversity and cultivate talent across the technology industry.

Megan is the CEO of leading IT recruitment firm McCann Partners, which she founded in 2011. She and her team deliver IT recruitment with intention and integrity to a growing portfolio of innovative organizations—from Chicago-based startups to companies with a global footprint. McCann Partners is dedicated to creating a more equitable and diverse workforce, and proud that more than 70% of their talent placements in the past two years have been diverse hires. Prior to McCann Partners, Megan co-founded and helped build Geneva Technical Services (GTS), and was a strategic force in growing SelecTech—both premier IT recruitment firms.

Megan’s impact on the tech community far exceeds her day-to-day work as CEO of her own firm. Passionate about attracting, retaining, and advancing women in technology, Megan is a proud co-founder of ARA, a national organization that seeks to promote women in technology and leadership through mentorship, events, and programs. Her additional industry and leadership affiliations include membership in the American Staffing Association, CHIEF, and the TechServe Alliance.

She is also a founding partner of the Chicago Executive Women’s Networking Group and an active member of Chicago Innovation’s Women’s Mentoring Co-Op. In addition, she’s been recognized as a Chicago Business Journal Bizwomen Headliner in Technology, Chicago Business Journal Women of Influence, a three-time Midwest Women in Tech Awards finalist, and an Illinois Technology Association CityLIGHTS finalist. In 2021, Megan was named to Staffing Industry Analysts inaugural Top 50 DE&I Influencers list and selected as a ChiTech Academy Young Women's Leadership Society Ambassador of the Year.

On February 23, 2021 history was made as the Village of Lynwood elected its first African American Woman to the office of Village President (Mayor). Jada D. Curry is a current Village Trustee who defeated 4-term Village President Eugene Williams. Village President Elect Curry ran on a platform of Trust, Transparency and Transformation.

For six of those years she held a variety of operations roles. It was in the last nine years that she discovered her passion for the field of Human Resources, specifically Talent Acquisition. Upon joining the Talent Acquisition team, she began the journey of understanding the needs of others and helping to connect great people with a great organization. As the Program Manager for the Talent Acquisition team she spearheaded several major events that included staffing the largest contract signed in company history in less than 30 days and revamping the field-based training model to ensure that it better matched the needs of a new leader. She left behind a legacy of operating in the spirit of excellence, challenging others to step outside of their comfort zones and she set the standard for hiring top talent.
