Program Description
February's program is designed to support nonprofit staff, particularly fundraisers, who want to feel valued, sustainable, and confident in their roles. Participants will explore what it means to be truly valued as an employee and how to advocate for that value, both financially and beyond dollars. The program will help staff identify what to listen for when interviewing for a new role, as well as what signals to pay attention to when they want to stay in a job they care about but are experiencing burnout or overwhelm.
Through a staff-centered lens, we’ll cover practical strategies for avoiding burnout, navigating challenging workplace dynamics, and making informed decisions about staying, leaving, or reshaping a role. Participants will gain clarity on what to look for in a job and how to advocate for themselves in ways that align with their values and long-term goals. The program also briefly addresses staff retention and onboarding from an organizational perspective, helping employees better understand the systems they work within and how to influence them.
This session is especially relevant for fundraising professionals who love the mission but want to build careers that are healthy, respected, and sustainable.
