Join us for a panel discussion about budgeting for nonprofits, moderated by DuPage Pads Chief Development Officer Chad Pedigo.

The program will hone in on collaborative financial budgeting strategies for non-profits and proven best practices. The panel includes tenured CPA's with year's of practice working specifically with non-profits, as well as highly experienced NFP Chief Financial Officers. Topics for the panel will cover a variety of budget related subject areas from managing the budgeting cycle, to mirroring the mission financially, trends and tools for transparent reporting, risk management, as well as how to adapt throughout the fiscal year when revisions are needed, and important reminders for meeting full compliance. 

Learning objectives:

Attendees will gain increased knowledge and confidence regarding:

  • Budget Cycle Planning Management, particularly relating to setting fundraising targets and goals.
  • How CPA's support managing non-profit finance. From monthly insights, to internal controls, and risk management.
  • Monthly financial statement preparation and review process. Best practices when changes/revisions are needed mid-cycle.
  • Understanding the complex structures of grant reporting and how CPA support strengthens bookkeeping and budgeting management.
  • How can non-profits best align mission management and fundraising with budget management throughout the fiscal year.
