    Community Adult Day Center is seeking a full-time Executive Director to oversee all aspects of the Center’s day-to-day operation in accordance with current federal/state/local laws, regulation/standards, and consistent with Community Adult Day Center’s policies and guidelines. This involves overseeing all financial, legal, fundraising, planning, marketing, programming, client supervision, and staffing functions.  The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. The salary is $50K.

    Fiscal Responsibilities:

    • Develop and oversee and annual budget
    • Develop and implement financial policies/practices
    • Establish and monitor accounting systems and costs controls
    • Meet net operating income goals
    • Monthly reports to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors
    • Make recommendations in writing for revisions and/or new policies and procedures
    • Report to the President all accidents, disasters, fires, or other situations involving insurance matters
    • Attend monthly Board of Director meetings

    Supervision of Staff

    • Oversee human resource functions including staff recruiting, supervision, performance evaluation and record keeping.
    • Promote job satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment
    • Training and development includes first aide and emergency procedures, CPR certification, fire drills, rules, policies, and regulations, all mandated continuing education of staff
    • Provide in-service programs on topics related to aging
    • Prepare employee schedules
    • Update job description
    • Prepare employee performance evaluations

    Clients and Families

    • Assure client satisfaction and comfort by managing a proactive client relations program
    • Determine eligibility of prospective clients and client discharges
    • Oversee all client plans, objectives, evaluations, and goals in collaboration with the nurse
    • Oversee food service
    • Maintain regular communication with families and provided counseling and support as needed

    Operational Function and Records

    • Oversee all operational functions to assure efficiency, quality client care, and client and family satisfaction
    • Maintain updated records of all phases of operation
    • Record/report all incidents and accidents to appropriate agencies

    Public Relations

    • Lead fundraising and development activities
    • Develop and implement a program to solicit charitable grants
    • Initiate fundraising events and engage in the cultivation of individuals and institutional donors
    • Prepare and maintain Center publications
    • Communicate through the Center’s website and social media
    • Market to community leaders, healthcare entities, and business groups


    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in social science or a directly related field
    • At least three years’ experience in community-based healthcare, human services or a relevant field
    • Certified in CPR, First Aide, and have a negative TB test
    • Successful Background Check with fingerprinting and negative drug screen
    • Must prove to be a US citizen and hold valid credentials to work in the US to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
    • Excellent management skills to facilitate administration of the Adult Day Center
    • Ability to demonstrate financial management and fund development experience
    • Experience in marketing and community development relations
    • Respect for the principles of client rights, confidentiality, EEO, and ADA
    • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, good judgement, and commitment to teamwork
    • Excellent relational, supervisory, and facilitation skills
    • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently
    • Ability to respond appropriately in varied situations
    • Ability to prioritize and manage effectively and strategically
    • Must be creative, forward thinking, and innovative agent of change, with outstanding communication skills
    • Computer literate able to implement new technologies
    • Must have a commitment to Community Adult Day Center’s mission and be dedicated to supporting clients
