    Development Officer – Caring Network Illinois

    Caring Network of Illinois, formerly CareNet of DuPage is expanding and is looking to hire an experienced Development Officer to join their growing Development Team.  Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

    Changing hearts and saving lives, Caring Network is a Christ-centered, front-line ministry called to love and serve in the fight for life in DuPage County and beyond. Through its six centers, Caring Network welcomes women with unconditional love, Christ-centered counsel, and critical resources to meet their needs.  The ministry has honed its innovative approach for 40 years and brings the very best tools and services into the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy.

    The Development Officer will develop strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of ministry partners and develop new corporate partnerships to support the ministry’s expansion.  This position reports to the Vice President of Development and serves as part of the Development Team.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • 2+ years of major gift solicitation experience with non-for-profit organization or Christian ministry preferred
    • Able to show a history of portfolio growth to meet and exceed income goals including converting donors from three to four-figure gifts and donors from four to five-figure gifts
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and donor management software
    • Bachelor’s degree (Graduate degree or CFRE preferred)

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Maintain and cultivate a portfolio of major donors.  Present Vision to donors and secure major gifts.
    • Identify and develop new Corporate partnerships with goal of obtaining Corporate Sponsors.
    • Enter all contacts into Neon CRM database
    • Occasionally represent ministry at local churches and organizations including making presentations as needed.
    • Some events and duties include occasional weekends and evenings.

    • Exhibit skill in developing relationships
    • Superior communication, written and verbal
    • Persuasive, with the ability to capture minds and hearts – to ’close’ where others cannot
    • Excellent organization and follow through
    • Detail oriented
    • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord  
    • Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position
    • Must agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the ministry

    Salary/Income:

    ·         Full Time position pays $48K-$60K plus full benefits.

    ·         Part Time position is hourly, 20 hours/week and pay rate is $23-$28 hourly based on experience.
