    Full Time - Annual Giving Officer

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Reports to: Senior Director of Advancement

    Position Overview

    NCTV17 is a dynamic and mission-driven nonprofit community television station! We seek an experienced and results-oriented Annual Giving Officer to secure the necessary financial support to advance our mission and meet the station’s fundraising budget.

    In this multifaceted role, the fundraiser will use expert communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to spot and develop fundraising opportunities. They will create, manage, and implement an annual fundraising plan, including individual and corporate donor campaigns, to meet financial goals.

    They will cultivate strong relationships with donors and external stakeholders to maximize engagement with the station leveraging existing relationships and the current donor database.

    Responsibilities

    Donor Cultivation and Stewardship

    ● Conduct prospect research to identify potential individual and corporate donors.

    ● Develop and maintain relationships with individual donors, major donors, and potential

    donors through personalized communications, donor recognition events, and one-on-one

    meetings.

    ● Create cultivation plans to engage different donor segments and deepen their connection to

    the organization.

    ● Create compelling donor campaign materials, including direct mail, emails, and social media content.

    ● Implement stewardship strategies to express appreciation for contributions, including

    personalized acknowledgments, donor recognition programs, and impact reporting.

    Database Management:

    ● Maintain accurate data entry procedures, gift processing protocols, and clean data practices in the organization's DonorPerfect database.

    ● Generate reports and analyze fundraising data to assess ROI on campaign performance,

    monitor donor retention, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    Fundraising Events

    ● Work with the senior management team on fundraising events to expand the donor base and

    increase current donor engagement with the station.

    Budgeting and Reporting:

    ● Manage the fundraising budget in collaboration with the senior management team.

    ● Monitor fundraising performance against targets and provide regular reports to senior

    management and the Board of Directors.

    Core Competencies

    ● Three to five years proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, including experience with

    social media and online fundraising.

    ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.

    ● Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.

    ● Superior writing skills: both narrative and presentation format.

    ● Creative thinker and problem solver.

    ● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    ● Proficiency in Google Workspace and fundraising software (DonorPerfect preferred.)

    ● Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and regulations.

    Qualifications

    ● Bachelor’s Degree in Philanthropy, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

    ● Valid Illinois driver’s license

    Compensation

    ● The salary for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 per year based on experience.

    ● Position includes health, dental, and vision insurance.

    ● PTO includes vacation, sick, and personal time.

    ● Simple IRA with 3% match.

    Naperville residency preferred
