Outreach Community Ministries, Inc. (OCM) is a Christian, community service organization seeking to attract and hire a diverse staff of highly competent professional employees.
The Resource Development department is responsible for fulfilling the organization’s fundraising requirements through broadening and deepening relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations who invest their financial resources as an expression of their alignment with the mission of Outreach.
The Database Manager is responsible for supporting the OCM fundraising function utilizing The Raiser’s Edge (RE) dabatase while ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of all tasks related to data management. The Database Manager oversees staff integration with RE processes including training, problem-solving and general functionality. Specific responsibilities include gift entry; code assignment; gift reconciliation and deposits; collaboration with Executive Assistant on gift receipting and donor care; credit card processing; weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting; data clean-up; maintenance of best practice manual; and event support. The Database Manager is a part of a 7-member team and reports to the Vice President of Resource Development.
Passion for the mission of OCM; Bachelor’s degree; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word; Previous donor database experience required; Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred; strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to work independently and effectively work with a team; ability to think creatively to problem solve data management issues; quick learning style. Full-time. Monday-Friday. 40-45 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work required for fundraising events.
Hourly rate for this position falls between $18.50 and $21.15 based on experience and database expertise.
