                  Job Title:   Donor Relation/Special Events Manager Department:  Development Reports To:   Senior Director of Development FLSA Status: Exempt Effective Date:  August 2023 Salary Range:   $50k - $57k POSITION SUMMARY: The Donor Relations/Special Events Manager is responsible for cultivation and stewardship strategies of creating prospects and working with identified donors. The Donor Relations/Special Events Manager also assists with the planning and logistics necessary for successful special events and development work in order to maximize the agency's overall fundraising effectiveness. A primary focus of the Donor Relations/Special Events Manager position is to assist TASC in maintaining strong donor relationships through accurate and responsive data tracking in the agency CRM system.OVERVIEW:TASC is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the agency lead on donor relations and special events. This person will join our goal-oriented development team and further advance our donor services practices and use data to drive strategy and results. Special events planning, coordination, and day of event oversight and leadership is required. This position will be responsible for entering, receipting and acknowledging donations; managing the integrity/data health of the donor database; pulling reports, queries, and mailing lists; researching donors and prospects; bringing relevant data to the team to inform decisions. This person will report to the Senior Director of Development. Donor Relations: (Approximately 70% of time) 
  
    Responsible for providing cultivation and stewardship strategies developed to reach out to prospective and identified annual fund donors.Pull weekly donor reports and ensure completion of the reports by the Development team.Supports Senior Director of  Development in audits and reconciliation of gifts and coding with finance department at month, quarterly year-end, and as neededAbility to build effective professional working relationships internally and externally.Front-line team member responsible for responding to donor requests and questions Responsible for managing the inventory and ordering of team supplies (marketing and TASC giveaways)Ensures all receipts and invoices are submitted in a timely manner and properly codedResponsible for pulling mailing and donor lists for department projectsStays abreast of all database software enhancements and communicates them regularly to the teamConducts prospect research and wealth screening to create donor profiles as neededResponsible for creating donation forms and event sites and other materials for prospectingResponsible for CRM: entering and receipting gifts and pledges, campaign pledges and individual gifts are accurately and in a timely manner Special Events: (Approximately 30% of time 
  
    Leads in the development of strategies and messaging as it pertains to TASC's special eventsCoordinates the management of special events components from inception to execution.Identifies opportunities to promote special events to the public.Coordinates with vendors and sponsors on all event related activities/business.Develops event timelines and checklists.Assists in keeping event participants engaged and delighted.Facilitates the implementation and communication with sponsor cultivation and benefits and works closely with Communications & MarketingServes as Special Event lead in managing event software for ticket purchases, guest registration, raffles, auction, fund the need, and other related activities.Assists in keeping donors and sponsors engaged and delighted about upcoming events.Participates in evening and weekend events and activities as required.Administrative support to the Development Team: recording donor notes, meeting preparation, communicating with stakeholders, supporting volunteer events, fundraising events and annual appeals Other:

  REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no supervisory responsibilities. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position will be located at the TASC headquarters Chicago office location, TASC professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and/or fax machines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting up to 15 lbs. Frequently bends, kneels and crouches. Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs. Continuous walking, standing, and moving about the work location or partner agencies. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with evening and/or weekend hours as needed. Hours of operation may change based on the need of development activities and in mutual agreement with external prospects/donors and/or partners.TRAVEL Travel is determined by work site location. Although some out-of-the area and overnight travel may be expected.
