    Job Title: Development Associate

    Location: Glen Ellyn, IL

    Employment Type: Part Time

    Compensation: $23+/hour depending on experience

    About the Role: The Development Associate is responsible for developing relationships with donors to raise financial support for the ministry’s existing operations and it’s expansion.  This position will manage a portfolio of major donors, serve as their key contact, and use the fundraising cycle to build relationships and achieve fundraising goals.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Developing relationships with donors
    • Meeting with donors to share opportunities and ask for increased financial support
    • Making phone calls
    • Writing personal notes and emails
    • Hosting a table of donors at events
    • Leading tours
    • Document, in CRM database, all contacts with donors and donor information

    Candidate Requirements:

    • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local church
    • Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion
    • Agree with and be willing to uphold Caring Network’s Statements of Faith and Principle and Core Values
    • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the mission and strategy of Caring Network
    • Comfortable with participating in and initiating prayer with co-workers and donors.
    • Demonstrated skill in developing relationships
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • Related Internship or experience in fundraising a plus
    • Proficiency with Virtuous CRM a plus
    • Competent with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
    • Mature, professional, passionately pro-life, results-oriented, energetic and creative with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Teachable - we will train the right person
    • Ability to travel to donors and various offsite locations as needed
